Klement Lukin rođen je u Putišićima (Gornja Poljica) 1924. godine. Bio je strastveni sakupljač umjetnina, a najznačajnija je njegova zbirka portreta koja broji oko 1800 umjetnina, od kojih je oko 1200 autoportreta.
Zbirka Lukin u fundusu GM Omiš obuhvaća manji broj minijatura te istaknutu kolekciju medalja naših vrsnih umjetnika poput R. Frangeša-Mihanovića, I. Kerdića, R. Valdeca, K. Angeli – Radovanija i Ž. Janeša. Osim toga, sadrži dvije zasebne cjeline Autoportreta i Portreta malog formata (slike, skulpture, grafike, crteži) koje predstavljaju jedinstven izričaj naših istaknutih umjetnika, a izdvajamo samo neke od naših velikana poput O. Mujadžića, E. Kokota, Z. Kauzlarić – Atača, J. Kneževića, S. Šohaja, Lj. Ivančića, F. Kulmera, Ž. Janeša. Naime, mali format oslobađa portret njegove reprezentativne funkcije i skreće ga u sferu intimnog, čime postaje prava mjera direktnog pristupa biću i samim njegovim korijenima. Ova izuzetna Lukinova zbirka predstavlja zasebnu cjelinu s otvorenim mogućnostima muzeološke prezentacije, ali i širenja zadanih okvira same zbirke.
Klement Lukin was born in Putišići (Gornja Poljica) in 1924. He was a passionate art collector. The most significant is his collection of portraits numbering some 1,800 works of art, of which about 1,200 self-portraits.
The Lukin Collection at the Omiš City Museum includes a limited number of miniatures and a noteworthy collection of medals by our esteemed artists such as R. Frangeš-Mihanović, I. Kerdić, R. Valdec, K. Angela-Radovani and Ž. Janeš. Furthermore, the Lukin Collection comprises two separate units titled Self-Portraits and Miniature Portraits (paintings, sculptures, graphics, drawings), bringing forth the unique expressions of our prominent artists, such as O. Mujadžić, E. Kokot, Z. Kauzlarić – Atača , J. Knežević, S. Šohaj, Lj. Ivančić, F. Kulmer, Ž. Janeš, to single out but a few. To clarify, the miniature format liberates a portrait of its representative function, diverting it into the sphere of the intimate, thus becoming a true measure of direct access to the being itself and its very roots. The exceptional Lukin Collection stands as a separate unit with open possibilities of museological presentation, but also surpasses its own defined framework.
