Ulomci grube kuhinjske keramike ukrašeni tehnikom utiskivanja izvedenim rubom školjke (Cardium) ili nekim predmetom pripadali su najstarijim stanovnicima ovoga područja. Po karakterističnoj tehnici utiskivanja (impresso) taj kulturni horizont je nazvan impresso kulturna skupina.

Fragments of coarse pottery decorated in the technique of impressing using the edge of a shell (Cardium) or another object belonged to the earliest inhabitants of the area. This cultural horizon was titled after its distinctive technique of impressing (impresso), the Impressed Ware culture.
