Od brojnih ulomaka zidnih obloga raskošno ukrašene unutrašnjosti crkve moguće je rekonstruirati prikaz s dva nasuprotno postavljena jelena, između kojih je simbol izvora života. Prikaz uokviruju isprepletene vitice vinove loze s grozdovima. Riječ je o motivima vrlo čestim u ranokršćanskoj ikonografiji.
Fragments of marble wall paneling, Gata – Church of St. Cyprian, mid 6th C.
The numerous fragments of wall paneling inside the lavishly decorated church interior make it possible to reconstruct the display of two opposing deer, with a symbol of source of life in-between. The display is framed by intertwined vine tendrils carrying grape clusters. These are motifs very common in Early Christian iconography.
